Our Association

The Lodi District Grape Growers Association is made up of over 350 growers and area businesses in California Crush District 11. The organization operates under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors elected to represent the interests of its membership.Just west of the Sierra Nevada and 100 miles inland from the San Francisco Bay, Crush District 11 represents over 100,000 acres of premium wine grape varietals, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Wine grapes grown within District 11 flourish with three river influences – the Mokelumne, Consumnes and Calaveras.

Our Mission

The Lodi District Grape Growers Association represents growers in Crush District 11. It serves growers based on the power of communication and cooperation. The Lodi District Grape Growers Association also allows a forum, to exchange ideas and to build consensus, to serve the political interest of growers in District 11 on local, state and federal issues.

Association Objectives

  • Provide an open forum to exchange ideas.
  • Represent members on local issues and efforts whose interests coincide with the interests of grape growers in District 11.
  • Communicate and educate local media on issues effecting grape growers.
  • Maintain open communication with political leaders ensuring that the voice of the grape grower is heard.

Committees

LDGGA has five standing committees within the association. Members are appointed by the board of directors. These committees are vital to the continued success of the organization. Members meet regularly to plan, implement, execute, and evaluate association programs.
